FORE Uganda community mental-health education activity

Prevention is as critical as treatment. FORE works in schools, churches, workplaces and communities to raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote healthy behaviours. We do not simply share information—we build trust and help create environments where mental wellness is openly valued.

Healing starts before the crisis does.
01

Workshops and training sessions

Interactive, facilitated sessions respond to the audience’s needs, covering stress, anxiety, addiction awareness, suicide prevention and practical support.

02

Public talks and seminars

Engaging forums and panel discussions open community conversations about mental health, break silence and reduce stigma.

03

Recovery walks

Community walks celebrate recovery, build solidarity and show publicly that mental-health and addiction challenges are not a source of shame.

04

Printed resources and materials

Accessible, culturally relevant brochures, posters and guides remain with communities to be shared and used long after each visit.

05

Awareness that changes communities

Since 2015, FORE has reached thousands of Ugandans. We measure success not only by events delivered, but by communities speaking openly, seeking help earlier and supporting one another with compassion.
